Education & Seminars Committee

The Education & Seminars Committee develops and provides classes for the RPA & FMA designations.  The committee works with local formal educational institutes to broaden the enrollment of students.

BOMA Kansas City provides local, on-going classroom study for two of the professional designations granted by the  Building Owners and Managers Institute:  the Real Property Administrator (RPA), and the Facilities Management Administrator (FMA).

The classes are all accelerated, held during the week in Downtown Kansas City.  Students may also take the courses on a home-study basis.  The classroom study, however, provides structure and student/instructor interaction that most students find very useful.

BOMA Kansas City also offers seminars and workshops, usually a half-day in length, on timely topics and issues.  Recent seminars have dealt with changes in telecommunication policy, tenant retention, and disaster preparedness. The seminars are usually approved for continuing education credit by Missouri and Kansas.
